AI-Powered data obfuscation¶
Attackers use AI-driven tools to mask exfiltrated data as benign traffic (e.g., mimicking cloud sync patterns or normal user behaviour). Example: Generative AI models modify file metadata to evade DLP (Data Loss Prevention) systems.
Encrypted DNS tunneling (DoH/DoT)¶
DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) and DNS-over-TLS (DoT) encrypt DNS queries, making exfiltration harder to detect. Attackers encode stolen data in DNS requests (e.g., malware.example.com could contain Base64-encoded credit card numbers).
Cloud API abuse¶
