Control plane vs. data plane: The gambit¶

Any fool can steal from a cart on the Data Plane. That is just street crime. The real art is to become the cartographer. The Control Plane is the guild ledger, the watch schedule, the signalman’s protocol. It’s the rules of the game. Our craft is to quietly amend a single line in that ledger, to make the Watch look the other way, or to have the clacks tower accept our message as the only truth. Why rob a bank when you can, for a delightful moment, own the concept of money?
