TryHackMe rooms

Write-ups from TryHackMe, gathered by source rather than by subject.

A room is a box somebody broke on purpose and then wrote down. That changes the exercise: the answer is known to exist, which is the one thing a real target never grants, and what is left is the mechanism, which was the part worth having anyway. Some rooms explain that mechanism and then set an exercise on it. Others hand over an IP address and wish the reader well. The paths that string rooms into a curriculum belong to the platform rather than to any room in it.
