The art of becoming part of the furniture¶

Getting in is an event; staying in is a habit, and it means making an edge outlast the session that opened it, the password that will rotate, the patch that will land, so the way back does not have to be won a second time. A scheduled task, a spare account, a token copied before it expired, a service quietly rebuilt to call home: each is a bet on which door the defender will forget to close, and the best of them look exactly like the machine doing its job.
